By Air

Ten minutes from camp is a small airport, Saranac Lake, serviced by small airplanes, Cape Air, through Boston, three times daily in season.  Make sure Boston connections ample as Cape Air is in separate, arguably distant, terminal.

Albany is our preferred airport. Most flights to Chicago. Prettiest drive. Do during daylight hours, for best experience. 3 hours from camp.

Burlington. Have to deal with ferry or distant bridge, but frequently, cheap flights but sometimes expensive. Bring your passport because when Burlington flights are diverted, you end up in Canada.

Montreal. Sometimes quickest, depending on customs and border. Taxes very high due to Canadian socialism so sometimes cost prohibitive ( frequently double or more). Makes you glad to be American when Canadians you travel with through their airport  tell you they are envious of you.  Check though as sometimes they do price out comparatively. Make sure you calculate car rental, too, as the socialists want you to walk, I guess.

Buffalo. Going to the Falls?  Could be the place for you.

Syracuse. About the same distance as Albany but a whole lot less pretty. Looks mostly like Northern Wisconsin as the mountains are on East side of park.

Watertown. Fort Drum is New York's largest employer and United has daily service to Chicago. You will sit with lots of military guys so you will feel safe. One hour closer to camp but prices high because government subsidizes cost of flying military to Fort Drum and little competition.

By Train

Amtrak operates trains serving Albany and Plattsburgh, which is just over an hour east of the Camp. Car rentals are available at either train station.
